What this licence allows

  • Residential building work restricted to NCC Classes 1 and 10 not exceeding three storeys.
  • Includes construction, alteration, additions and renovation within that Class 1 & 10 limit.
  • Provide written evidence of relevant on-site three-storey residential experience.

Qualifications

Pathway 1

  • Complete an Australian-based trade apprenticeship (for example Carpentry & Joinery or Bricklaying).
  • Hold CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction, or a related higher-level qualification.
  • CPCCBC5003 - Supervise the planning of on-site building and construction work
  • CPCCBC5010 - Manage construction work
  • CPCCBC5018 - Apply structural principles to the construction of buildings up to three storeys
  • CPCCBC6001 - Apply building codes and standards to the construction process for large building projects
  • Satisfactorily complete the Work History & Onsite Experience Record with at least three years experience and five completed projects relevant to the scope.

Pathway 2

  • Complete an Australian-based trade apprenticeship (for example Carpentry & Joinery or Bricklaying).
  • Satisfactorily complete the Work History & Onsite Experience Record with at least four years experience and five completed projects relevant to the scope.

Pathway 3

  • Hold CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction, or a related higher-level qualification, without a trade qualification.
  • Satisfactorily complete the Work History & Onsite Experience Record with at least five years experience and five completed projects relevant to the scope.

Pathway 4

  • Satisfactorily complete the Work History & Onsite Experience Record with at least six years experience and five completed projects relevant to the scope.

Pathway 5

  • Have held an equivalent registration within the 12 months before the application.
