What this licence allows
- Preparation, making and erection of metal components in building work. This includes structural steel, handrails, security grilles, fences, gates and balustrades. It does not include roof plumbing or wall cladding.
Qualifications
Complete one of the following accepted qualification pathways:
- CPC31120 Certificate III in Steel Fixing.
- CPC30720 Certificate III in Rigging including CPCCRI3014 Perform advanced structural steel erection.
- MEM31922 / MEM30319 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade.
- CPC30320 Certificate III in Concreting.
- CPC31111 / CPC31108 Certificate III in Steelfixing / BCG31103 Certificate III in Steel Fixing.
- CPC30711 / CPC30708 Certificate III in Rigging including CPCCRI3004A / CPCCRI3014A.
- MEM30305 / MEM30398 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade.
- MEM30305 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade/Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker/Welding).
- BCG30703 Certificate III in Rigging including BCGRI3004B.
- BCG30998 Certificate III in General Construction (Materials Handling), TAFE course #8058.
- CPC30313 / CPC30318 / CPC30311 / CPC30308 Certificate III in Concreting.
- BCG31298 Certificate III in General Construction (Concreting/Steelfixing).
Experience
No separate minimum experience period is prescribed.
Individual applicants must meet the National Police Check requirement and cannot be issued the licence or certificate while still an apprentice or trainee.
