What this licence allows
- Erecting structures by laying individual masonry units such as bricks or blocks. The category includes brick fences and qualifying freestanding brick-fence footings, brick retaining walls that do not require Local Government Act approval, flashing associated with bricklaying, and minor non-structural concreting needed to support bricklaying work.
Qualifications
Complete one of the following accepted qualification pathways:
- CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying.
- CPC30111 / CPC30108 / BCG30103 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying.
- BCG30698 Certificate III in General Construction (Bricklaying/Blocklaying), TAFE course #8064.
- Qualification 4640 Certificate III in Bricklaying Trade, TAFE course #2160.
- Certificate III in Bricklaying Trade, TAFE course #5159.
Experience
No separate minimum experience period is prescribed.
Individual applicants must meet the National Police Check requirement and cannot be issued the licence or certificate while still an apprentice or trainee.
