What this licence allows

  • Electrotechnology assembly and servicing incidental to electrical-wiring work involving electrical-fitting disconnection and reconnection.

Qualifications

General restricted-electrical requirement: applicants for restricted electrician licences must provide the prescribed letter of need identifying the principal trade and why incidental electrical work is required for that trade.

Method 1

  • Certificate III in Electrical Fitting UEE33011 or UEE33020 issued within the previous 5 years.

Method 2 (older/superseded/equivalent electrical-fitting trade qualification)

  • Complete UEERL0004 and UEERL0005 (or equivalent) within the previous 5 years; where UEERL0004 is used, UEERL0001 is also required; and provide a letter of need.

Method 3

  • Previously held this restricted licence or an ACT Unrestricted Electrical Licence within the previous 5 years, provided the previous licence was not affected by the disqualifying disciplinary conditions.
